Answer “How much is shipping?” before someone clicks. When Google can show free shipping or delivery estimates next to your product, fewer people bounce at checkout from surprise fees.

Some settings sound technical. Here’s what they mean for a normal Shopify store.
1 Store-wide shipping rates
What it means: Lets Google show shipping cost and timing next to your products.
You ship physical products and want shoppers to see shipping before they click.
You only sell digital downloads with no shipping.
2 Free shipping over a minimum
What it means: Supports rules like “$5.99 under $50 / free over $50”.
You already advertise free shipping above a cart total.
Every order has the same flat shipping price.
3 Sync from Shopify shipping
What it means: Copies rates from your Shopify shipping profiles so you don’t enter them twice.
You have several countries/zones set up in Shopify already (Advanced).
You only ship to one country with a simple flat rate — manual entry is enough.
4 Different shipping for some products
What it means: Overrides the normal rate for heavy, oversized, or special items.
A few products cost more (or less) to ship than the rest of your catalogue.
Everything ships under the same rules.
Ways to set your rates
Use simple flat rates, free-shipping thresholds, or import from your Shopify shipping profiles (Advanced).
