Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Corevance Digital (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use Corevance: JSON-LD Seo Schema (the “App”), a Shopify application that helps merchants add and manage JSON-LD structured data (schema markup) on their storefronts.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and stop using our services.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to merchants and store staff who install or use the App through Shopify. The App is designed for business use. It is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect or process:
- Shop and account data — Shopify shop domain, access scopes, offline access tokens (and related refresh/expiry data), billing/subscription status, and merchant contact email provided by Shopify.
- App configuration data — schema settings you configure in the App (for example organization, local business, product, FAQ, shipping, return policy, breadcrumb, sitelink, social profile, and related metafield preferences).
- Store content accessed via Shopify APIs — product, theme, content, and shipping-related information needed to generate or validate structured data, within the scopes you grant at install.
- Support and feedback — messages you send us through in-app feedback or email, including your email address and shop domain.
- Technical and usage data — basic server logs (such as IP address, timestamps, and request paths) used for security, debugging, and reliability.
The App is a merchant tool. We do not build customer profiles of your store’s end customers, and we do not sell personal information.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Authenticate your Shopify store and provide App features
- Store and apply your schema settings on your storefront
- Process subscriptions and billing through Shopify Billing
- Respond to support requests and improve the App
- Send transactional emails (for example welcome or uninstall-related messages)
- Comply with legal obligations and Shopify’s requirements (including privacy webhooks)
- Protect the App against abuse, fraud, and security incidents
4. AI-assisted features
If you use optional AI FAQ generation, selected store text you provide for that feature may be sent to third-party AI providers (such as Groq or OpenAI) solely to generate FAQ suggestions. Do not submit sensitive personal data into AI prompts. AI providers process that content under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the App:
- Shopify — authentication, billing, webhooks, and Admin API access
- Hosting and infrastructure — cloud hosting and database providers that store App data
- Email delivery — email service used to send transactional or support messages
- AI providers — only when you use AI FAQ generation, as described above
- Legal / safety — if required by law, regulation, or to protect rights and security
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing.
6. Data retention and deletion
- When you uninstall the App, we delete your shop record and associated App data from our systems as part of our uninstall process (subject to short-term backups and legal retention needs).
-
We respond to Shopify mandatory privacy webhooks
(
customers/data_request,customers/redact, andshop/redact) in accordance with Shopify’s requirements. - You may also email us to request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and Shopify’s processes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than where you are located. Where we do so, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with applicable law and Shopify’s platform requirements.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Merchants control their own storefront data and customer relationships. For requests about customer data on your Shopify store, Shopify’s tools and policies also apply.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the App or email when appropriate.
