Offers & other choices, made simple
Some settings sound technical. Here’s what they mean for a normal Shopify store.
1 Return window (e.g. 30 days)
What it means: Shows how long customers have to return an item.
You offer a standard return period — most stores should set this.
Don’t advertise a window you don’t actually honour.
2 Free returns
What it means: Shows that customers won’t pay to send items back.
You truly offer free returns and want that trust signal in Google.
Customers pay return postage — choose customer-paid instead.
3 Different rules by country
What it means: Lets you set different return rules for different markets.
You sell internationally and policies differ (for example US vs EU).
You only sell in one country.
4 Final sale / no returns
What it means: Clearly marks products that cannot be returned.
Personalized, perishable, or final-sale items.
Don’t use this as your default if you normally accept returns.
Policy choices
Match what you actually offer on your returns page — accuracy builds trust.
